Purpose of Position
To form part of the Project Management team tasked with the development of SkyParks 2 and to assist management as may be required, from time to time, in the below-listed activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review construction plans and prepare bills of quantities and cost estimates.
  • Oversee and assist in the preparation of the commercial/financial component of projects according to a pre-established template.
  • Review and assist Project Managers in preparing and reviewing project estimates.
  • Review tender Bills of Quantities and Method of Measurement prepared by external consultants.
  • To assist Management in the post-RFQ / tender commercial clarification process and evaluations as the case may be.
  • In conjunction with the PM team of SkyParks 2 and/or the cost controller of the Projects Department, oversee the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts for this project.
  • Review change orders to determine their impact on the project budget.
  • Support cost control systems and procedures as directed by the Lead PM or his representative.
  • Interface with PMs, consultants and engineers, and other personnel to obtain information necessary for QS services.
  • Create customized effective reporting within the system to inform Management of all ongoing project.
  • Attend project meetings, cost control meetings and IPA meetings and provide input on financial matters.
  • Attend site meetings with consultants and contractors to verify and measure works installed for progress valuations.
  • Monitor and track costs and expenses not related to the main contract and keep records on software platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience in Construction and Quantity Surveying on completed projects.
  • Academic qualification in the relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 5 or higher.
  • Candidates possessing a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying (MCAST) or equivalent, would be given preference.
  • Have a valid driving license, able to work flexible hours and within a team.
  • Proficient in the use of Auto-Cad and MS Office Software.
