Site Manager

CF Estates Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Site Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Site Manager with experience, who will have the responsibility of overseeing the finishing phase of construction projects. The primary objective is to ensure the completion of common areas in each block within the specified budget and time frame. These areas encompass lifts, mechanical and electrical components, apertures, railings, tiles, and tiling, plastering, house connections, marble sills, main doors, waterproofing, insulation, and gypsum works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Construction and Finishings, in managing the ongoing projects specifically on finishings
• Place orders for all required materials, ensuring they are of the desired quality and within budget constraints
• Identify and hire contractors specialised in various finishing duties
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure they have a clear understanding of the project requirements and deadlines
• Schedule follow-up meetings and constantly communicate with the architect, Site Technical Officer and other relevant third parties
• Establish project plans and timeframes, by ensuring that the project plans meet the set requests and address any concerns and other situations
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor and inspect progress, quality and address any issues that may arise on a day-to-day basis
• Organize and obtain all necessary permits required for the project
• Serve as the central point of contact for all parties involved in the project
• Coordinate the setup of the necessary works and other facilities for the project to continue with its implementation and remain in schedule
• Obtain all the required local permits in road closure, parking, pavements, and other necessities requested by the local authorities (LESA, Local Council, Transport Malta)
• Provide diligent supervision and oversight for all ongoing finishing works to ensure they meet the desired quality standards
• Communicate effectively with clients, by keeping them informed about the progress of the project finishing phase and address any related concerns
• Monitor and manage the project budget
• Ensure that all finishing works adhere to relevant industry standards
• Identify and address any challenges or issues that arise during the finishing phase promptly and effectively
• Collaborate with stakeholders to find solutions and ensure timely project completion
• Assume responsibility for all Health and Safety reports
• Stay up to date with any updated construction law and any legal notices affecting the construction trade is the responsibility whether it is Health and Safety and any other Construction regulations
• Enforce compliance with Health and Safety regulations, and standards on the construction site
• Perform any other duties that may be required.

Skills Requirements:

• Very strong project management skills
• Efficiently scheduling tasks, permits and resources to meet project timelines
• Strong ownership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead
• Proven ability to work in a problem-solving environment and demonstrating teamwork
• Monitor and enforce obedience to safety guidelines and regulations on the construction site according to the law
• Good understanding of construction processes and different materials
• Excellent leadership, communication skills both written and verbal and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Ensuring that all aspects of the project align with plans and regulations
• Addressing disputes and conflicts in a constructive manner to keep the project on track
• Clean European Category B driving licence
• Maltese language is a must.
