To oversee and manage all tender submissions and estimation activities for large-scale electrical and mechanical projects, ensuring that proposals are competitive, technically sound, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities 

  • Managing and leading tender submissions for major projects
  • Participating in management meetings to report on departmental progress and address tender-related issues
  • Guiding the tender team in preparing technical documentation for pre-qualification and tender submissions
  • Reviewing tender documents and extracting key requirements and critical details
  • Preparing all necessary documentation, including method statements and supporting materials
  • Compiling tender queries and responding to clarifications during the tender process
  • Tracking and managing the overall progress of tenders
  • Coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and relevant authorities to gather required information for submissions
  • Organising meetings and recording minutes throughout the tender stage
  • Preparing and delivering tender presentations
  • Monitoring the market to identify upcoming tender opportunities
  • Engaging with potential suppliers and obtaining quotations for tendering purposes
  • Attending relevant events, conferences, training sessions, and factory visits locally and internationally when required

Requirements & Experience

  • Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management
  • Proven experience in estimating, tendering, and commercial management within M&E projects
  • Proven track record in M&E project delivery and tender management
  • Proficient in English; Maltese is considered an asset
  • Strong project management, organisational, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively
  • High level of numerical accuracy combined with solid commercial awareness
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and develop practical, innovative solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgement and the ability to work independently using initiative
  • Quality-focused mindset with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
  • Flexible, adaptable, and proactive, with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team
