Foster Clark Products Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Supply Planner to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:
Reporting to the Product Supply Manager, the role's main responsibilities will include building supply plans respecting the agreed level of available capacity, ensuring that finished and semi-finished goods are available with high freshness, at the right stock levels to meet customer demand whilst minimizing cost. Review of FG stock, rework follow-up, review of production commitments, data housekeeping, and review plant performance. Identify possible opportunities and improvements in collaboration with the factory.

Key Accountabilities:
Supply Plan

  • Create a 52-week rough cut supply plan for the factories within your responsibility, within the defined capacity and SKU constraints
  • Create an 8-week detailed supply plan for the factories within your responsibility, within the defined capacity and SKU constraints
  • Evaluate the supply plan on a weekly basis, to ensure that volumes planned are produced on time
  • Validate material availability and follow up with Purchasing on delivery dates
  • Identify possible opportunities and improvements in collaboration with the factory within the 8-week horizon
  • Allocate of Finished Goods
  • Schedule meetings with Manufacturing, sales and supply chain: identify/highlight issues & propose alternative solutions to resolve them, act on identified actions and set up and lead weekly and monthly production planning meetings.

Customer Service

  • Review the Pending sales order list and ensure that supply meets demand on time
  • Guarantee product freshness by carrying out systematic weekly reviews. Push the clearance of ageing goods
  • Evaluate and review stock cover policy to achieve business objectives on service level and working capital
  • Prepare supply outlook; review & propose adjustment of production plan, both time and quantity.

Interdepartmental Role

  • Contribute to cross-functional planning activities such as MPR according to Best Practices
  • Data Management: maintain appropriate Master Data in the system; Min/Max covers, Shift patterns, maintenance downtimes and ensure regular housekeeping of data
  • Prepare manufacturing performance and stock holding reports.


Ideal candidate profile:
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, supply chain, business, or a related field

Experience

  • Two or more years of relevant operational experience at the market/business level is useful, in at least one of the following areas:
    • Factory Planning
    • Supply Network Planning
    • Factory Production Team Lead
    • Demand Planning.

Skills

  • Solid working experience in demand planning & supply chain management in the FMCG industry, food industry experience preferred
  • Experience in the following processes would be highly beneficial:
    • Product Life Cycle process
    • Factory Master Data Management
  • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
  • MS software skills – Power BI, advanced Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Exposure to working with ERP systems – Microsoft AX experience will be preferred
  • Experience with delivering credible analytics with complex data.
