Senior Purchasing Officer

Our client in the shipyard industry, is looking for a Purchasing Officer to join their team. The chosen candidate will be assisting in the operations of the procurement process.

Responsibilities:

• Operational management of the entire procurement process for materials and services
• Issuing and monitoring purchase orders
• Tracking deliveries, sending reminders, and managing supplier relationships
• Researching and evaluating new suppliers in cooperation with the technical department
• Managing item master data and purchase conditions within the company’s ERP system
• Supporting negotiations on pricing, delivery times, and contractual terms
• Collaborating with warehouse, production, and administration teams to ensure smooth material flow

Requirements:

• Technical or economic diploma/degree
• Proficiency in spoken and written English language; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
• At least 1-4 years of experience in a similar role
• Good command of Microsoft Office
• Strong negotiation skills, accuracy, and results orientation
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
