Logistics Officer
A vacancy for the post of Logistics Officer is currently available within the Logistics Department. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Officer will assist in managing day-to-day distribution operations, ensuring the warehouse functions efficiently, within budget, and delivers the highest level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the routing process, ensuring sales orders are scheduled and reports/documentation are prepared as required.
Ensure timely replenishments for district distribution, direct departures, and exports.
Coordinate and supervise teams involved in receiving, picking, cleaning, transporting, replenishing, loading, and stacking stock efficiently.
Issue receipts, manage storage of imports, and verify received products/quantities while updating the Warehouse Management System.
Support basic office accounting tasks, provide regular and ad hoc reports, and coordinate periodical stock takes.
Oversee cleaning and upkeep of warehouses, yards, equipment, and vehicles, maintaining related records.
Reconcile invoices and statements from suppliers/service providers to ensure compliance with agreed terms.
Conduct daily Kaizen meetings to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Minimum Ordinary Level standard of education
Experience in logistics or warehouse management
Strong leadership, team facilitation, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal, written, and ICT communication skills
Strong analytical skills with a focus on efficiency and improvement
Required to work on shift work
