Our client is looking to employ a Shipping & Logistics Clerk to join their team. 

  • Support the department head.
  • Prepare various shipping documents.
  • Plan and coordinate the transportation and logistics of materials.
  • Handle customer inquiries and requests.
  • Oversee the shipping and receiving of goods to and from the warehouse on behalf of clients.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Help monitor and track cargo movements.
  • Maintain an organized filing system.
  • Update the warehouse inventory of client materials daily.
  • Communicate with carrier representatives both locally and internationally.
  • Assist with purchasing and procurement of supplies.
  • Manage customs procedures, ensuring compliance with international laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Provide support to the Marine department for daily operations as needed.

This role requires the selected candidate to work normal office hours but sporadically one needs to work during the weekends and late evenings. 

Requirements
  • Knowledge on the marine, oil and gas industry will be cosnidered an asset.
  • Conscientious and responsible.
  • Outstanding communication & problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Education and Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant and recognized educational qualification.
