Basic Functions:
Reporting to the Technical Leader, the Maintenance Storekeeper shall coordinate with the Technical Leader and Senior Technicians to effectively manage the company assets.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Organize the maintenance store and ensure that every store location (cabinets / shelving / racks) is tagged accordingly.
2. Ensure safekeeping of parts and that all parts are stored in a manner that are easy to find and to prepare for use.
3. Apply good stores management practices and parts management to ensure parts and any other equipment retain full reliability while stored.
4. Ensure the cleanliness of the store and parts and that the store is kept in order.
5. Responsible for general control over all activities in stores.
6. Ensure that only authorized people have access to the store.
7. Prepare parts for preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
8. Assist the Maintenance personnel in determining parts and accessories requirements for maintenance jobs and issue parts to the Maintenance team as may be required.
9. Control inventory in / out of parts and keep appropriate records.
10. Ensure spare parts minimum and maximum quantity is enough in store.
11. Responsible to make stock analysis such as fast moving or slow-moving parts analysis.
12. Monitor and take stock inventory on a regular basis.
13. Compile stock requirements based on needs and prepare parts requisitions.
14. Follow up with suppliers for the parts delivery.
15. Receive parts and verify all parts received are as per the agreed purchase, delivery note and agreed quantity have been received.
16. Inspect the incoming parts.
17. Perform any other additional tasks as and when requested by the Engineering and Maintenance Manager or Executive including providing support/assistance to the maintenance team.
HACCP / GMP Related Responsibilities:
1. Follow/ Amend / Write Standard Operating Procedures.
2. Compiling SOPs related to the area of responsibility.
3. Frequent follow-up of SOP and other training.
*Must be in possession of Maltese Driving License.
Minimum Qualification for the Position:
The Maintenance Storekeeper must have a minimum of MFQ Level 3 or equivalent. The position of Maintenance Storekeeper is responsible for the organization of the maintenance store and accountable for ensuring spare parts are ready for use and the maximum and minimum quantity is controlled. The position is also responsible of executing periodic inventories at the maintenance store. The Maintenance Storekeeper is to keep the store and parts in the store clean and tidy. The position also must ensure that the parts are easy to find.
