Our client is looking for a Head of Supply Chain to lead their Purchasing & Planning departments. Your main responsibilities will include:
Taking on the technical and disciplinary leadership as well as the further development of the supply chain team and overall operational workflow
Managing and organizing the Supply Chain function to ensure that delivery dates are met
Optimizing material management such as purchase prices and delivery reliability
Overseeing the resolution of all the internal operational activities and outsourced issues affecting inventory, scheduling and delivery, by coordinating the associated supply chain processes
Taking responsibility for on-schedule and quantitative planning, as well as the provision and distribution of all finished goods produced and procured from suppliers to the end customer
Optimize our planning and procurement processes, achieve savings, manage projects and drive cross-functional collaboration
Maintaining budgets at agreed levels whilst ensuring a high level of inventory control and accuracy for all products
Implementing strategic activities that focus on meeting growing business needs
Skill-sets and Requirements
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English
Must have excellent leadership skills
Able to lead and motivate team and proven experience in management
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Proactive and meticulous attention to detail
The ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements with strategic suppliers/contractors
Education & Experience
A Degree in Supply Chain Management or related
Minimum of 5 years local experience within a similar role
Manufacturing Experience and knowledge of GMPs and HSE is a must
Pharmaceutical Experience will be considered an asset
