Michael Deboo Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Fleet and Distribution Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of cost-effectiveness and finding better ways to improve fleet vehicle utilization, parts warehouse distribution, and car preparation pre-sales process.

The company today operates one of Malta’s largest automotive dealerships. It represents more than 9 OEM brands. First and foremost, of these is Toyota – which was the first OEM brand we started to build a relationship with way back in 1960 when we imported the first Toyota vehicle to Europe. The company and employs more than 140 multi-disciplined employees. The product offering is composed of passenger and commercial vehicles, motorbikes, vehicle parts and accessories, and aftersales services. The company also offers consumers a range of consumer finance solutions to fund the acquisition of their vehicles. The Position: 
Reporting to the Chief Fleet Manager, the Fleet and Distribution Manager shall be responsible for:
  • Maintaining and monitoring data management system to organize fleets as per various schedules and requests;
  • Developing and implementing standard operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practice in the industry;
  • Overseeing routine and ad hoc maintenance to ensure optimal fleet up-time;
  • Planning process for warehouse distribution;
  • Planning stock checks for parts inventory;
  • Planning and implementing a process for Pre-Car Sales;
  • Planning and implementing a process for car storage;
  • Facilitating and implementing corrective actions and capacity building to manage the entire fleet, warehouse, and pre-delivery inspection;
  • Planning and preparing the annual budget, expenditure and analyzing all financial objectives.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, logistics, operations, or equivalent professional;
  • Demonstrated experience leading and owning cross-functional programs;
  • Demonstrated experience owning the design, implementation, and optimization of initiatives;
  • Experience with data mining and data analysis;
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc;
  • Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Microsoft Access;
  • Fleet Management Experience;
  • Background in mobility services and the automotive industry.
