Our client, a Global organisation operating within the Pharmaceutical industry is recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to assume responsibility of the Supply Chain Activities. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Business Development, your duties will include;

  • Leading, directing and managing subordinates in a professional manner; including training and coaching of staff
  • Ensuring staff strictly adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental procedures at all time
  • Ensuring staff strictly adhere to GMP’s
  • Setting targets and work objectives for Warehouse Leader and other personnel
  • Monitoring individual and team performance and achievements and provide performance feedback regularly
  • Purchasing key materials and services following and specific indications whenever appropriate, thus ensuring timely preventive cooperation
  • Scrutinizing existing aspects of the supply chain and to plan and offer directives for new initiatives
  • Facilitating cooperation between downstream partners included in the delivery of products to the end user (e.g. sub-agents, shipping agents locally and abroad, end receivers, and others) and upstream partners (e.g. suppliers, vendors, and others)
  • Monitoring shipments, ensuring they reach their destination at the appropriate time
  • Ensuring timely and accurate update in the ERP system of inventory levels, receiving materials, issuing materials as related to the warehousing function
  • Identifying cost efficient means of risk cover for our high value products travelling to our clients as well as high value technical products
  • Keeping abreast of the latest rates and always negotiate the best terms and rates for the company
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience within a Supply Chain Function in a Global setting is required
  • Previous experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Proven track-record of implementing effective procurement / logistics strategies
  • Professional communication skills in English
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • The ability to prioritize work between different priorities that arise
  • A strong understanding of Supply Chain Activities (Global), including negotiation skills
Education and Experience
  • A first Degree within General Business, Logistics, Sciences / Engineering is required
