Boat Driver

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Boat Driver to operate boats for various water activities at our beach resort. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests while operating boats for tours, water sports, and other recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate boats for guests participating in water activities such as sightseeing tours, waterskiing, jet skiing, and other water sports.
• Conduct pre-trip safety checks on all equipment and ensure that the boat is in good condition.
• Provide clear instructions and safety guidelines to guests before engaging in water activities.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust plans as necessary to ensure safety.
• Assist guests in boarding and disembarking from the boat.
• Ensure guests’ safety by providing life jackets and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Respond promptly to any emergencies or unforeseen circumstances while out on the water.
• Keep the boat clean and maintain the equipment in excellent working condition.
• Maintain accurate logs of boating activities, including guests served and hours worked.
• Collaborate with the beach management team to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all local regulations and safety laws related to watercraft and water activities.

Requirements:

• Valid boat driving license and certifications for operating watercraft.
• Proven experience as a boat driver or operator, preferably in a water activity setting.
• Knowledge of boating safety rules and regulations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with guests.
• Ability to perform basic boat maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Physical stamina to operate boats in varying weather conditions and assist guests.
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
• First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• A passion for water sports and providing an enjoyable experience for guests.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in driving motorboats, jet skis, or other watercraft.
• Previous experience in a tourism or hospitality environment.
• Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
• Working Conditions:
• Work is primarily outdoors, on the water, in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Physical stamina to engage in active water-based tasks throughout the day.
