Assistant Warehouse Manager

Our client, a leading organisation within the Import and Distribution industry, is recruiting for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to supervise the smooth running of all warehouse operations and processes and ensure that these are adhered to in accordance with company policies and procedures. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your duties will include;

• Monitoring and reconciling incoming and outgoing stock with the data storage system 
• Overseeing the loading of company vans and ensuring timely dispatch from the warehouse
• Providing training to warehouse personnel on new techniques to boost motivation and efficiency
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in both warehouses
• Planning for future storage space needs
• Ensuring compliance with warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
• Upholding health, safety, hygiene, and security standards
• Reporting and preventing any work negligence in the warehouse
• Immediately reporting stock discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager
• Assisting in the regular generation of reports and statistics
• Performing any other duties as required within this role

• Previous experience within a Warehouse environment is required, ideally within an FMCG Environment
• Previous experience leading teams is essential, having excellent leadership skills
• Hands on person who is also able to teach and support when needed
• Excellent Communication Skills (Fluent in Maltese and English)
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
• Able to operate a Fork Lifter

• Diploma level of education would be desired
