Assistant Logistics and Distribution Manager

Our Client, a leading local importer & Distributor, is looking to onboard an Assistant Logistics and Distribution Manager to join their growing team. The chosen will lead a stand-alone role and will be responsible for the below:

• Ensure that all customer orders are delivered in a timely and efficient manner and you are responsible for all activities related to the storage of produced and imported goods;
• Support in the effectiveness of an annual business plan, based on the company’s volume forecasts, with adequate resources to manage the workload in an effective manner;
• Execute a plan and have the resources necessary at all times for the operation to function well;
• Implement ongoing monitoring of processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and utmost customer satisfaction;
• Ensure that daily/weekly schedules are handled in an effective and coordinated manner;
• Ensure that all out-of-route orders are approved before being accepted for dispatching;
• Work closely with the Management ensuring that any out-of-stock situation is handled in a manner to minimise the effect on the distribution and the market;
• Verify that all goods entering and leaving the warehouse are accounted for as per company procedures;
• Ensure that the Company’s HACCP program is implemented at all times within the areas of responsibility and that all work carried out is according to health and safety regulations.

• Possess proven problem-solving skills
• Ability to plan and prioritize

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Warehouse Logistics and/or Distribution, or any related field will be given preference.
• A minimum of 3 year working in a leading role is a must
