Shipping Clerk

Our client is looking for a Shipping Clerk. You will be responsible for executing duties related to shipping operations, including both import and export activities, customs, and declaration submission.

Responsibilities:

• Process and submit declarations to customs, government departments, shipping agents, Freeport, and port authorities.
• Obtain import/export shipping cost quotations and report to higher management to minimize costs.
• Coordinate closely with clearing and forwarding/shipping agents and company employees to ensure timely document clearance.
• Compile and update shipping records to ensure efficient clearance of consignments.
• Organize, book, and clear courier shipments as required.

Requirements:

• ‘O’ Level standard of education.
• Prior local experience in shipping and/or logistics.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in computer applications and familiarity with internal systems.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
