General Scope and Purpose of Position

We are currently looking for an organized professional to join our Finance team as a Senior Finance Executive. The chosen individual shall be responsible for administrating a range of finance activities and making sure all data is collected and recorded in a timely manner. You will work closely with the Finance team to maintain standards of the unit and to ensure consistent support for other units. 

Duties & responsibilities

  • Being responsible that all data is recorded by end of month for the preparation of management accounts. 
  • Managing records and receipts. 
  • Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions. 
  • Preparing and record journal entries. 
  • Credit Control. 
  • Providing customer service to internal clients. 
  • Liaise with banks and other stakeholders. 
  • Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters. 
  • Ensure that financial transactions are properly updated and recorded. 
  • Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues. 
  • Supporting the Finance team with projects and tasks as required. 
  • Check that all accounting transactions submitted are fair and ethical. 
  • Identify and report and misuse and mishandling of internal resources. 
  • Provide response to general Finance enquiries, verbal or written in a timely manner. 
  • Assist actively the finance department in yearly audits. 
  • Complies with the organisational standards and regulations to ensure a safe and efficient operation. 
  • Apply and Implement Funding and Grants (including EU).
  • Screening funding opportunities for alignment with Inspire objectives and work.
  • Developing project ideas and proposals with Inspire members with accurate budgets.
  • Overseeing the filing and achievement of Funding programme deliverables.  
  • Supporting the financial management and reporting of the international cooperation projects, including responding to donors on urgent budget questions.

Role Requirements

The ideal candidate must be in possession of the following:

  • A minimum qualification of MQF Level 4 in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least two years of experience within the finance sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Prior to being recruited and throughout the duration of employment, the selected candidates need to satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA) together with those of immunization.
