Senior Technician

Apco Limited in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Senior Technician to join their team on a full-time basis.

OVERVIEW:
An opportunity has arisen for interested candidates to join the growing team at APCO Limited as a Senior Technician.

THE POSITION:
Based in Malta and reporting to the Head of Operations, the selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out technical tasks on equipment provided by the company and for supporting pre-sales activities.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: installing, configuring, and supporting security equipment, performing routine preventative maintenance and calibration on such equipment, troubleshooting failures using specialised diagnostic tools, analysing device logs, determining cost-effective repairs, resolving and closing calls promptly, as well as fault finding and fixing parts.

The Security Technician will also be responsible for assisting the sales team with technical requirements for pre-sales proposals.

THE REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience supporting mechanical equipment and electronics. Knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office Applications is required, together with clean police conduct and a valid driving license.

Specialised knowledge of security systems is desirable together with an MCAST diploma MQF level 4 in Mechanical Engineering or an MCAST Diploma in Engineering (Electronics) MQF level 4 or similar. Preference will be given to candidates with MQF level 5 and/or candidates with possession of the wireman’s License A or License B.

The candidate must be willing to travel for training purposes and should be customer-focused, proactive, attentive to detail and able to work effectively in a team environment.
