Our laundry department plays a vital role in delivering fresh, clean linens and garments, ensuring a pleasant experience for everyone we serve. We are currently seeking a skilled Laundry Supervisor to oversee the operations of our laundry department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring high-quality standards.

• Coordinate the work of laundry staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.

• Co-ordinate Picks up and deliveries as necessary.

• Ensures that any ironing/pressing of garments is done.

• Ensure all dirty linen is separated and counted before going out for cleaning.

• Assists in inventories and in stock-taking.

• Performs any alterations needed.

• Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated safely.

• Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.

• Maintain accurate records of laundry activities, including cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance.

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have similar experience in a commercial laundry or experience in a four/five-star hotel in a supervisory role within the laundry department.

• Be fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.

• Have sewing knowledge and be capable of performing minor garment alterations.

• Have strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.

• Be organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.

• Be flexible with working hours, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Have a solid understanding of health and safety regulations.

• Be a team player with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.

• Be computer literate – basic ECDL knowledge
