HireHound Recruitment in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Technician join their client's team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, preventive maintenance, testing, and commissioning of various electrical systems, including distribution boards, motor control centres, switch-gears, and generators. While prior experience is beneficial, you will be offered comprehensive in-house and external training to support your professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Repair & Maintenance

  • Conduct repair and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including distribution boards, motor control centres, switch-gears, and generators.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, implementing effective solutions to restore system functionality.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure electrical systems are operating safely and efficiently.

2. Testing & Commissioning

  • Test and commission electrical systems to verify performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Calibrate and adjust electrical components to optimise performance and reliability.
  • Document testing results and maintain accurate records of commissioning procedures.

3. System Upgrades & Improvements

  • Assist with the installation and upgrading of electrical systems and components.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Stay current with industry advancements and apply best practices in electrical maintenance and repair.

4. Training & Development

  • Participate in in-house and external training programs provided by the company to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Apply new techniques and practices to improve maintenance and repair processes.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred; Enemalta LIC A & B or equivalent certifications are highly regarded.
  • Other relevant qualifications and experience will also be considered.
  • Previous experience in electrical systems maintenance is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is conducted in various environments, including commercial, industrial, and residential sites.
  • May involve lifting, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to ensure safety during maintenance and repair tasks.
