Certified Life Raft Technician

Manoel Island Yacht Yard in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Life Raft Technician to join their team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing liferafts and other marine safety equipment in compliance with industry regulations and standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and service a variety of liferafts and marine safety equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
• Perform repacking and certification of liferafts in compliance with SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) regulations and other international safety standards
• Identify and resolve equipment defects, ensuring all repairs are carried out with precision and accuracy
• Maintain accurate service records, including inspection reports and certification documentation
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments, safety protocols, and regulatory changes
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment, adhering to workplace health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Liferaft Technician from a recognized authority or training provider
• Hands-on experience in liferaft maintenance and servicing, with a thorough understanding of SOLAS regulations and industry standards
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment specific to liferaft servicing and repair
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
