General Labourer - Painter

We are looking for a fit, strong general labourer to perform a variety of physical tasks. General laborers' responsibilities include receiving goods, performing construction site duties and operating construction vehicles.

To be successful as a general labourer you must be able to perform a wide variety of tasks that require stamina and an eagerness to learn on the job. A good general labourer is able to understand instructions and carry them out efficiently within the given deadline.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, and sanding as needed.

• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.

• Mix and match paint to achieve desired color and consistency.

• Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers.

• Protect surrounding areas and ensure cleanliness by taping off and covering furniture or floors.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Assume duties and tasks assigned by Superiors.

Requirements:

• A high school qualification or equivalent.

• Previous experience as a painter in the hospitality industry is considered an asset.

• Good command of English is an advantage.

• Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials.

• Stamina and strength to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and kneeling for extended periods.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

• Ability to work overtime when required.
