About the Role

As a Handyman you shall oversee the maintenance for in-house services to ensure the continuous operation of the programmes/services being offered. They shall also coordinate and schedule maintenance contractors to carry out the necessary tasks that keep the Facilities and Maintenance operations running efficiently.

What you'll be doing

• Performing Facilities and Maintenance works and repairs. These include but are not limited to:
• working at heights;
• use of electrical tooling, or any other mechanical equipment.
• Sourcing relevant vendors and service providers.
• Recording an up-to-date inventory of all supply and material inventories.
• Purchasing any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required including the upkeep of such equipment. They shall also assign costs and expenses to the relevant budget lines.
• Handling and purchasing of maintenance items whilst adhering to budget requirements.
• Supports the Assistant Head of Facilities with administrative tasks as required from time to time.
• Updating and filing maintenance logs for all machinery.
• Reviewing work related procedures and making recommendations for improvements.
• Assist as required during CSR events and supervise the volunteers during work carried out at our sites.
• Reporting the progress of works in general.

What we’re looking for

A proactive, skilled worker who performs various repairs, maintenance, and improvement tasks around the organization's departments as required during the day-to-day operation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in general maintenance, painting, basic carpentry, and plumbing.
• High proficiency in English Language (both written and spoken).
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and multi-tasking.
