Handyman

Shortletsmalta Ltd is looking to recruit a Handyman to join its team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate must have experience in general handyman duties to service rental apartments, be a team player and can handle most jobs related to the general upkeep and preventive works required from this position.

Persons currently living in Malta with a valid residency permit, in possession of a driving licence valid in Malta and with prior experience in a similar role will be considered.

Responsibilities: 

• General maintenance duties such as painting, plastering, plumbing, basic carpentry repair works, general electrical issues, replacement of appliances and equipment and other common odd jobs as required.
• Identify issues related to common faults, perform repairs and installations, assembling, fittings, repairs, and replacements as needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and overall servicing of equipment normally encountered within holiday rental apartments. 
• Prepare vacated units for new clients checking in, ensuring that the unit meets the required standards.
• Analyse all fault reports and requests for repairs. 
• Handle emergency maintenance and repair works. 

Requirements: 

• Minimum one year experience in serviced apartments or similar posts. 
• Fluent in English with good communication skills, both verbal and written, is compulsory.
• Can work unsupervised, have a passion to learn new skills, and willing to assist team members in other maintenance tasks when required.
• Basic knowledge of the use of mobile apps to report feedback. 
• Can work shift rosters include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Currently holds a residency permit and can work in Malta. 
• Possess a valid and recognised driving licence and has experience driving in Malta.
