Electrician

An opportunity has arisen for an energetic person to join our Maintenance department as an Electrician where you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders being reported

To be successful as an electrician you must be honest, pleasant, and have detailed knowledge of, and comply with, all maintenance policies, procedures, and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings

• Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables

• Work on industrial and commercial electrical installations including canalisation, cable pulling, cable dressing and cable terminations

• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes

• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them

• Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building

• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation

• Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed

• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed

• Replaces circuit breakers as needed

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• A good standard of education

• Licence A 

• Previous experience in a similar position will be considered an asset

• Able to work on his own initiative

• Willing to work flexible hours

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to work with shifts on a seven-day schedule
