Ensuring the day-to-day operational functionality and appearance of the hotel by responding to maintenance requests, conducting routine inspections, and addressing immediate issues that may arise during the course of daily operations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to identify maintenance needs.
• Report any issues related to safety, cleanliness, or functionality to the maintenance team.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Address and resolve minor maintenance issues on the spot.
• Perform basic repairs and adjustments to furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Replace light bulbs, door locks, and other small components as needed.
• Be available for on-call duties to respond to emergency maintenance situations, such as power outages, water leaks, or other urgent issues.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to address and resolve emergency situations promptly.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
• Report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain effective communication with other hotel departments to address maintenance needs and coordinate tasks efficiently.
• Document completed maintenance tasks and report to the supervisor.
• Interact professionally with guests and address their concerns or inquiries related to maintenance.
• Ensure a positive and customer-focused experience for all hotel guests.
• Keep an inventory of basic maintenance supplies and notify the supervisor when replenishment is needed.
• Properly store and organize tools and equipment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Technical expertise in various maintenance disciplines.
• A good command of the English language.
• Electrician's Licence A or equivalent.
