Drawing Interpreter Steel Fixer
We are looking for a skilled Steel Fixer who can interpret technical drawings and play a crucial role in the construction process. If you have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of steel reinforcement, we want to hear from you.
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings and specifications to determine the layout and installation of steel reinforcement.
- Cut, bend, and fix steel bars and mesh according to project requirements and safety standards.
- Collaborate with site managers and other trades to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on materials and work completed to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff and apprentices as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of various steel fixing techniques and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction or steel fixing are advantageous.
