Bodyshop Preparer

Key Result Areas & Accountabilities 

• Mask/Prepare vehicles for painting 
• Thoroughly review each repair order prior to working on a vehicle 
• Inspect panels for adherence to company standards for preparation 
• Remove all dust and other particles from prepared panels 
• Must be able to sand, tape, prime, buff, mask and polish panels 
• Remove imperfections from new paint 
• Carrying out other duties as instructed by one’s superiors 

Knowledge & Experience 

Essential requirements: 

• At least 2 years experience in a technical role 
• A clean police conduct 
• Perform required certifications as per company and supplier recommendations 
• Qualifications  
• MCAST Diploma in panel beating and spraying (MQF Level 4)
