A growing company in telecoms is looking to recruit a Trading Account Executive to identify, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with customers and suppliers within the A2P industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximizing profitability, meeting and exceeding business development targets, and ensuring sustained business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales by acquiring new clients, retaining existing customers, and identifying opportunities for business expansion.
  • Manage and enhance profitability with messaging customers and suppliers to meet and surpass company targets.
  • Maintain relationships with aggregators and negotiate agreements with both new and existing clients.
  • Develop creative and innovative SMS trading strategies to secure unique selling propositions (USP) and drive sustainable revenue.
  • Continuously monitor customer performance, optimizing revenue and profit generation.
  • Collaborate with the legal team on SMS service contracts and SLAs.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure smooth, professional, and timely execution of wholesale and business processes.
  • Assist in establishing and implementing necessary departmental procedures and processes.
  • Attend relevant fairs, conferences, and exhibitions locally and internationally as required.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the CEO or line manager.

Skills & Requirements

  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets, lead generation, and account management.
  • Strong passion for business development with a broad network and experience in identifying valuable SMS partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of the A2P SMS industry.
  • Proficiency in IT and technology tools relevant to the SMS messaging industry.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of self-development.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in English and fluency in an additional language.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to tailor presentations to different audiences.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and discretion in all interactions.

Education & Experience

  • A diploma or degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role.
