Lidl in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Store Supervisor to join our team on a full/part-time basis.

Job Role:
Our Supervisors (Store Assistants) form part of the management team of the shop and, therefore, have a very important role within the organization. In their day-to-day tasks, our Supervisors assist the Store Manager and the Assistant Store Manager in the smooth running of the store and, in the absence of these figures, manage the shop independently. This means ensuring that the store concept is applied correctly and in accordance with the principles of simplicity & productivity. Moreover, our Supervisors ensure that the sales operations are processed smoothly, in accordance with the statutory provisions.

We are currently looking for new employees in every shop on the island, offering different types of contracts to suit your needs (part-time and full-time).

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing the 4 pillars of sales, taking corrective measures when necessary
  • Planning of all the listed products in the assortment, using the planning tools, with the following objectives
  • Optimizing the stock levels (avoiding shortages and/or excess levels or duplicates)
  • Ensuring productive product replenishment
  • Developing and optimizing the store workflows, in accordance with the principle of simplicity
  • Checking and unloading the delivery plan daily
  • Regular quality checks and stock rotation in accordance with the applicable rules
  • Implementing the principles of placement and daily information
  • Managing customer complaints
  • Freshness control.


Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • The flexibility to work different shifts including night shifts, weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to perform duties in all areas within the store (Cash, Bake Off, Promo, F&V and stacking)
  • Fluent knowledge of the English language is a must
  • Knowledge of the Maltese and Italian language will be considered an asset
  • A can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills
  • Highly motivated and ambitious
  • Effective planning and organisational skills.

Remuneration

  • Different options of contract are available: full-time, 40 hours per week, organised on 5 days (8 hours per day) or a part-time, of a minimum of 25 hours per week, organised on 5 days (5 hours per day)
  • Any minutes worked over 40 hours per week are paid at time and a half
  • Sundays and public holidays are paid at a double rate
  • Night shift allowance when applicable
