Apcopay is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team.
Based in Malta and reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Senior Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our company by identifying and securing new business opportunities within the payments industry whilst continuing to nurture and improve relationships with existing clients.
The primary focus areas of this role include: lead generation, sales execution, and revenue growth together with the Business Development team.
The Senior Business Development Manager will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to further develop our product offering. Understanding the different business needs of each client, maintaining strong relationships with clients, attending industry events and conferences are also key to the role.
Apcopay, orchestrated by Synthesis, is a Single Layer Payments Orchestration Platform, that has been supporting merchants since 2004. It provides a unified, all-in-one solution, offering over 40 acquiring banks and 240+ payment options, processing 100 currencies for over 1200 merchants in 25 countries and connecting through a range of payment methods, including options such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Union Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
The selected candidate must be be a seasoned networker, with a proven track record of success in business development within the online payments industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of online payment systems, e-commerce, and financial technology. The role requires a target-driven individual who possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels and who has a demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite are required. Fluency in the English language is a must, and knowledge of other languages is would be considered advantageous.
