Junior Renewable Energy Broker

Commerg Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Junior Renewable Energy Broker to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to grow a portfolio of customers for the European Market. You will be supported by the Renewables Desk Manager who is highly experienced in Environmental Markets, brokering, and deal structuring.

Renewables Brokers Team:
We are based in Sliema, Malta. The Brokers team consists of 8 market specialists who have a strong commercial drive, are ambitious, eager to learn, entrepreneurial to investigate new markets, not satisfied until they have found a solution for a problem, and act as team players.

You will be responsible for:

• Building your own customer portfolio
• Maintaining the existing customer portfolio
• Becoming the main information source for your customer portfolio
• Matching buyers with sellers and proposing (new) deal structures
• Coordinating market and client research and providing constructive feedback to the Head of the Renewables Desk and the rest of the team
• Closing deals
• Following up with your deals with the help of the Back-Office.

Job Requirements:

• 0-3 years of commercial experience (preferably in brokering or sales)
• Fluent in verbal and written communication in the English language. Knowledge of another European language is considered an asset, especially fluency in Italian
• A diploma or university degree in business or sustainability
• Interest in renewable energy
• Affinity with finance/commodities/brokering
• Strong commercial drive and a proactive attitude
• Eager to learn and work hard.
