We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products for sale, ensuring all products meet our high standards of quality and safety. This role requires someone with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Meat Preparation & Cutting: Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat products for sale.
Quality Assurance: Inspect meats to guarantee quality, freshness, and safety.
Inventory Management: Receive and properly store meat products, monitor stock levels.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate, clean, and maintain butcher shop equipment, ensuring it remains in good working condition.
Workplace Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment in compliance with health regulations and company standards.
Product Presentation: Properly package and label products, ensuring attractive presentation for customers.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by advising customers on different cuts, cooking methods, and special preparations.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in a butcher shop or similar environment.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and related preparation methods.
Skills: Ability to work quickly and accurately, especially under pressure, and with minimal supervision.
Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
