Quality Control Specialist

Our client, who is one of the biggest players in the local Manufacturing Industry, is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Specialist. Reporting to the Head of Quality, the responsibilities will include:

• Making sure that products are in line with quality standards, both locally and internationally.
• Maintaining documentation with regards to quality test, procedures, and standards.
• Identifying product defects or potential issues and determining ways on how to solve such issues.
• Monitoring equipment performance to ensure that they continue to function correctly.
• Supporting process improvements throughout the testing and quality assurance processes.
• Prepare and present reports to update upper management on quality activities.
• Leading technical staff in order to ensure that quality procedures are being upheld.

• Previous experience within the Manufacturing industry in a similar role
• Highly organised and able to work under pressure
• Able to prioritize daily duties as necessary, take ownership of assigned duties and collaborate well within the team
• Previous experience leading a team or providing mentorship

• Degree level of Education in Food Science or a related field
