Project Planner

Our client, a well-established local manufacturer of Glass and Steel, is looking to recruit a Project Planner. Reporting to the Head of Projects, the chosen candidate will be responsible for:

• Establish trust with clients, architects, and contractors by being reliable and responsive. Regularly check in on project progress and maintain open lines of communication.
• Keep clients informed at every stage of the project. Provide updates, discuss changes, and manage expectations effectively.
• Conduct thorough consultations with all parties involved to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project scope and objectives;
• Prepare detailed and accurate bills of quantities as per project specifications to prevent discrepancies and ensure efficient budgeting;
• Work closely with contractors and suppliers to ensure all costs are accounted for and the bill aligns with the project's timeline and resources.
• Establish a clear communication channel with clients and architects to discuss project requirements and progress. Use active listening to understand their needs and concerns.
• Respond to any concerns or issues as soon as they arise to maintain a smooth working relationship and project timeline.
• Utilize your expertise in AutoCAD to create detailed, accurate, and professional drawings and plans.
• Be open to feedback from clients and architects, and adjust your designs accordingly.
• Act as a central point of contact between clients, architects, and the Aluserv production team. Ensure all parties have a shared understanding of project details.
• Make sure everyone involved understands their roles, responsibilities, and the project's timeline;
• Keep comprehensive records of all project-related information, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence;
• Ensure all records are accessible to relevant parties and update them regularly to reflect any changes or progress;
• Regularly inspect work to ensure it meets high standards and regulatory requirements;
• Immediately address any quality concerns to prevent delays and additional costs, anticipate potential challenges in project implementation, and plan solutions in advance;
• Work with clients, architects, and contractors to find effective solutions to obstacles.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (ACAD) software is essential for producing accurate and detailed drawings.
• A valid clean driving license is required for travel to various project sites.
