Digital Sales Executive

MediaToday Co Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Digital Sales Executive to join their team on a full-time or part-time basis.

Job role:

A fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading English-language online news portal. As a digital sales executive, you will be responsible for primarily all advertising sales and implementing a variety of strategies and tactics from content marketing, data profiling, and email marketing, providing digital support for advertising, developing and implementing search engine optimization strategies, and helping manage social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter.

Responsibilities:

• Monetize the website by encouraging clients to sponsor stories and place adverts
• Manage the technological end of the online news portal by liaising between the IT support unit and editorial and advertising, and learning to solve problems on their initiative as they develop
• Provide support to advertising by providing keyword research, and web statistics reporting to editorial
• Using web analytics software to monitor performance and make recommendations for improvement
• Researching new online media opportunities that may benefit the business including mobile and social media
• Liaising with digital advertising agencies and keeping up to date with current digital trends
• Providing accurate reports and analysis to clients and company management to demonstrate effective return on investment
• Creating copy and data for the organization’s marketing efforts with potential clients
• Develop opportunities for brand awareness on social media: Knowledge of designing website banners and visuals will be a plus.

Requirements:

• Experience in selling advertising in all forms of online and social media
• Knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms, SEO, and Google Analytics
• Strong verbal communication skills: An honest, straightforward relationship with the managing editor in Maltese and English will be key to your success
• Written communication skills necessary for marketing content, and attention to detail when communicating with clients and partners
• Ability to work independently and under pressure, prioritize multiple jobs as they develop, and meet deadlines
• Creative skills to develop ideas, and organizational know-how to handle multiple jobs
• Teamwork skills: You will liaise with managers in both the advertising and editorial departments.
