Our client in the Gaming industry is looking to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel to join their Legal Team, reporting to the Head of Legal:

Responsibilities:

  • Function as an in-house attorney, addressing the legal needs of the business
  • Draft, negotiate, structure, implement, manage, and oversee various commercial agreements, such as customer service agreements, master service agreements, and service level agreements
  • Review and negotiate international vendor contracts to ensure alignment with our policies and mitigate unacceptable risks
  • Oversee litigation matters, including commercial disputes, regulatory issues, and employment-related claims
  • Provide counsel to the company on contractual rights and obligations of business partners, interpret terms and conditions, and ensure compliance with relevant laws while minimizing associated risks
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations pertinent to our business line by implementing policies and processes
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the business
  • Maintain our General Terms & Conditions
  • Conduct risk assessment and mitigation at a company level
  • Contribute to legal responsibilities at the group level as a member of the NeoGames group legal team
Skill-sets and Requirements
  • 8 years of commercial law experience as a Legal Counsel within the gaming industry
  • Litigation background willl be considered an asset
  • Excellent English skills
  • Familiarity with software licensing and other intellectual property agreements
  • Strong capabilities in writing, drafting, negotiation, presentation, and communication
  • Proficient in commercial law, contract law, employment law, data protection, and privacy regulations
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, and exceptional communication abilities
  • Self-motivated with a proven history of process improvement and cultivating positive interdepartmental relationships
  • Demonstrated experience in generating high-quality, articulate English documentation
  • Aptitude for self-management and timely delivery of projects at a superior level
Education & Experience
  • Licensed and warranted lawyer in Malta
