Harvest Technology Plc is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to support a dynamic technology group operating across multiple sectors, whilst contributing to the Group’s legal, compliance, and data protection functions.
THE POSITION
Based in Malta and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Legal Counsel will provide legal support to the Company and its subsidiaries across commercial, regulatory, corporate, and operational matters.
The role includes drafting and reviewing contracts, supporting corporate governance activities, advising on legal and compliance risks, and assisting with employment-related matters. The selected candidate will also lead the Group’s data protection and privacy initiatives, ensuring compliance with GDPR and related regulatory requirements.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Legal Counsel will provide practical legal guidance and support the business in maintaining effective governance and compliance frameworks.

THE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will hold a Degree in Law, whilst a warrant to practise would be considered an asset. Experience in an in-house legal, compliance, or data protection role within a corporate environment is considered desirable.
Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, regulatory, and data protection law, together with experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. Familiarity with GDPR compliance and privacy frameworks is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. The successful candidate will also possess strong organisational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT (IAPP), or similar certifications in privacy, compliance, or risk management will be considered an asset.
