Are you a skilled Software Engineer with a passion for technical interviewing? As a Technical Interviewing Engineer - FrontEnd (TypeScript/JavaScript), you'll be a key member of Betsson Group’s Technical Recruitment Committee (TRC), responsible for evaluating and selecting top technical talent for our tech teams. This role is crucial in ensuring a high-quality hiring experience by conducting standardized assessments of candidates’ technical skills, cultural fit, and team alignment. You'll collaborate closely with Product Development and Talent Acquisition to align hiring standards and meet the organization’s evolving needs.

Note: This role should ideally be based on the Maltese Islands, but we could also be open to candidates based at one of our other locations in exceptional circumstances.

A taster of what you will be involved with:
  • Conduct Detailed Technical Assessments: Evaluate candidates' core skills, technical expertise, cultural fit, and team alignment.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Teams: Understand specific role requirements and adjust evaluation criteria accordingly.
  • Provide Structured Feedback: Ensure high standards of candidate selection and a fair, inclusive assessment process by providing feedback to Talent Acquisition and hiring managers.
  • Participate in Committee Meetings: Share insights, refine evaluation approaches, and maintain consistency in candidate assessments.
  • Contribute to Process Improvement: Enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the hiring process through process improvement initiatives.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Best Practices: Align assessments with Betsson’s talent strategy and evolving needs.
What we are looking for:
  • Educational Background: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Certifications in technical domains or interview assessment (e.g., coding boot camps, technical interviewing) are a plus.
  • Work Experience: 5+ years in a technical or engineering role (e.g., Software Engineer, DevOps, Systems Architect). Demonstrated experience in technical interviewing, particularly for software engineering, system architecture, DevOps, and cloud technologies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript is essential. Experience with Angular is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of working in cross-functional teams and contributing to a collaborative hiring process.
  • Passion for People & Culture: A strong passion for recruiting, assessing, and onboarding talent, with a focus on people and culture topics.
