Payroll Specialist

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and processing the company's payroll accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with the HR and Accounting departments to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time. Your role will involve processing payroll data, resolving payroll discrepancies, and maintaining accurate payroll records.

JOB ROLE:

As an integral part of the finance & payroll department, the selected candidate will be responsible for running the whole payroll process, managing the company couriers and cab drivers payroll, tax and social security. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receiving, validating, and completing payroll-related data activities
  • Preparation of payroll: review and preparation of master and transaction data in compliance with labour law, company, tax and social security regulations
  • Supporting our HR team in the hands-on collection, calculation, and entering of payroll data, where not handled within our system integration.
  • Processing of registrations and certifications as well as communication with health insurances, social security agencies and tax offices
  • Preparation of various reports for payroll validation.
  • Identifying and fixing any errors across our integrated HR and payroll systems.
  • Running the whole payroll process (including punch clock and timesheets, updating payroll system and FSS declarations).
  • Other duties are normally performed within the finance and HR function.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • At least 2 years of experience carrying out the full payroll process of a large organisation.
  • Having knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, will be considered an asset.
  • Be willing to take the initiative to take on the whole process from start to finish with the support of the finance & payroll team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Possess good numerical skills.
  • Be highly organised with an ability to work under pressure as well as having high attention to detail.
  • Able to work both individually with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION:

  • Preferably have a minimum ‘A’ Level standard in Accounts.
  • Knowledge of payroll software, mainly Shireburn Indigo.
  • Professional proficiency in excel is a must (confident in V-lookup and Pivot).
