Our client, a leading CSP is seeking to recruit a Payroll Executive to join their Payroll team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the payroll of a portfolio of clients and have the following responsibilities:
Preparing payroll for multiple clients including collecting data from timesheets and inputting such on the payroll software
Calculating taxes and Social Security contributions and liaising with the Tax department where necessary
Adhering to payroll policies and procedures and the relevant law whilst keeping abreast of any related regulations and updates
Assisting in GDPR matters relating to Payroll/Employee Data
Carrying out the necessary due diligence checks on the clients
Acting as the main point of contact with the clients whilst assisting them with the onboarding and offboarding process of their employees
Distributing of salaries through cheques or direct transfers to the respective employees' bank accounts
Updating employee records and ensuring these are in line with employment and data protections regulations
Any other duty which may be required from time to time
Requirements
Minimum 2 - 3 years experience in a similar role
Possess excellent intrapersonal skills
Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
Fluency in English, both verbal and written
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Knowledge of Maltese Employment law and any related HR software will be considered an asset
