On behalf of our client in the manufacturing sector, we are seeking an experienced HR & Administration Executive.

This role plays an important part in supporting our client's Human Resources, Administration, Stakeholder Management, and Internal Communications functions. It offers a unique opportunity for an individual looking to further develop their career while gaining exposure to a broad range of responsibilities across multiple business areas.

The successful candidate will support recruitment and onboarding activities, employee engagement initiatives, work permit administration, policy development, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and various administrative functions that contribute to the smooth operation of the company.

Responsibilities:

Human Resources

As part of the HR function, you will:

  • Support workforce planning, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in recruitment activities, onboarding, and retention programmes.
  • Draft and issue employment contracts and maintain employee records.
  • Coordinate work permit applications and renewals with the relevant authorities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Monitor attendance, sick leave, and leave balances, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Coordinate employee training requirements and support learning and development initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Assist with the organisation of staff engagement and team-building activities.

Administration & Operations

Working closely with Management, you will:

  • Supervise and support the Receptionist / Administrative Assistant function.
  • Assist in managing office administration and facilities.
  • Coordinate educational visits and stakeholder engagement activities/events aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of our client's mission.
  • Prepare reports and updates for Management as required.

Requirements:

  • A qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources, Administration, Office Management, or a similar role will be considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of Maltese will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Maltese employment legislation and HR practices will be considered an advantage.
