The Restaurant Manager will manage and lead all aspects of the restaurant business by coordinating daily restaurant management operations, delivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction at Zitti Restaurant, Valletta.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability, and quality goals. 
  • Ensure the efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Oversee the restaurant dining area, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity.
  • Manage the back of house effectively by hiring staff, set work schedules, oversee food preparation and ensure compliance with health and safety, and sanitation restaurant regulations. 
  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations. 
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses.
  • Implement policies and procedures that will maintain current and future restaurant operations.
  • Lead the restaurant team by example, motivating and mentoring staff to ensure that the restaurant runs smoothly and that customers have pleasant dining experiences.
  • Display exceptional leadership by providing a positive work environment, mentoring employees as appropriate and demonstrating a dedicated and professional approach to management.
  • Manage and promote the restaurant’s good image and brand.
  • Ensure excellence of service for the restaurant clientele and guests.

Required Skills and Competences:

  • Experience in leading and managing a restaurant or catering establishment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure. 
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Qualification in hospitality/restaurant management is preferred. 
  • Proficient in computer and Microsoft Office programmes, and restaurant software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to work well in a team, lead by example, motivate and lead a team.
