Gourmet Butcher

As a Gourmet Butcher at Jesmond Micallef Meat Market, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meats according to customer specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and our customers receive exceptional service. Your expertise and attention to detail will help maintain our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Cut, carve, trim, and prepare meats according to customer requests and company standards.

• Use bone knives, equipment and other tools for meat preparation

• Prepare marinated meats and meals for customers to cook straight away.

• Ensure the quality and freshness of meats, adhering to food safety regulations.

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and answering their questions.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace.

• Restock meat cases and displays as needed.

• Maintain accurate records and assist with pricing and labelling.

• Collaborate with team members.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a butcher.

• Good knowledge of different cuts of meat and their appropriate uses.

• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

• Good customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
