Malta Marriot Hotel & Spa is currently looking to recruit a Reservations Agent to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role: 
The selected candidate will be responsible for recording and processing all reservation inquiries made by phone, or e-mail efficiently and accurately, whilst converting inquiries into sales in order to maximize revenue and occupancy.
The chosen candidate must be positive, creative, dedicated, and passionate about everything they do and who is proud to be associated with one of the most recognizable hospitality brands in the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining reservations in the property management system for individual reservations as well as groups
  • Upkeeping the internal Reservations e-mail inbox
  • Managing guest requests over the phone, via e-mail, and messaging systems in a professional manner
  • Actively monitoring and managing room availability
  • Maintaining third-party extranets, reservations, and messaging systems
  • Running the Daily, Weekly, and Seasonal Reports together with their relative tasks.

 
Requirements:

  • Be a team player
  • Be organised
  • Take initiative
  • Have good telephone manners
  • Have a working knowledge of PMS systems, such as Opera
  • Have a corporate level of verbal and written English
  • Be able to work both weekdays and Saturdays
  • Experience in a similar environment will be considered an asset.
