We are looking for a creative and skilled Pastry Chef to join our Xara Team 

The De Mondion is a family-owned, unique and vibrant One Michelin Star restaurant, set atop the Xara Palace Relais & Chateaux offering breath-taking views of the island

The group’s diversified portfolio comprises the award-winning fine dining de Mondion perched on Mdina’s bastions, the cozy al fresco Trattoria located in the palace’s courtyard but as well, catering services, and hr Xara Lodge, an events center just outside Mdina. The common thread: we pride ourselves in featuring cuisine that is second to none and focuses not only on the quality of its dishes but as well on innovation and experience.

The impact you will make:

  • Oversee the production and presentation of all pastries and dessert
  • Train and supervise pastry staff
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all pastry items
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen
  • Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques

About You:  

  • As our ideal candidate, you will have a passion for hospitality and attention to detail 
  • You will have at least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced yet quality-driven environment 
  • Ability to run designated sections including day-to-day ordering 
  • Commitment to teamwork and good communication skills 
  • Energy and enthusiasm for learning and developing 
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and operate in a changeable environment.
