Group Operations Executive (Tourism)
Rigo Malta DMC is currently looking to recruit a Group Operations Executive (Tourism) to join their team on a full-time basis.
Job description:
Do you have a passion for travel and tourism? Do you have experience in destination management or tourism in Malta? Here is an opportunity to join a growing team and work in a dynamic environment in tourism in Malta. The role could lead to management of the department.
The role will mainly involve:
- Managing RFP's, itineraries for Groups & MICE in Malta
- Management of day-to-day operations of these services from A to Z
- Working with and developing strong relations with local suppliers and foreign clients, to create valuable experiences
- Developing and executing new ideas
- Dealing with and meeting new people and cultures
- It is an office-based position, with out-of-office work assisting clients or management and execution of events
- Possibility of joining in sales initiatives in this sector
- Contribute to the changing trends of the industry and business.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be friendly, helpful, and happy to take initiative and contribute to the growth of the brands
- Contribute to maintaining and developing a great team environment
- Be able to multitask and work well individually as well as in a team.
- Have experience in the field of tourism in Malta
- Able to think outside the box have a can-do attitude to problem-solving with great attention to detail
- Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other office tools or web-based platforms
- Fluent in English and any other languages will be considered an asset (Such as Polish, French, German, Spanish)
Previous experience in a similar role is essential and ideally should be an EEA / EU / Swiss National and living in Malta.
