Mallard Co. Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Commis Pastry Chef to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role: 
  • You will join our dedicated kitchen team, supporting the Pastry Team to ensure the smooth running of the pastry station
  • Preparation and mise-en-place to mucking in during service and ensuring health and safety practices are adhered to
  • Flexibility and an eagerness to learn are key as you will be expected to support the wider kitchen team as and when required
  • You will thrive as part of a team, communicating with colleagues with confidence and sensitivity.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • In the position of a Food Handling Certificate;
  • ITS students will also be considered for work placements;
  • Minimum 1-year work experience in a kitchen, preferably in a hotel;
  • Fluent in English;
  • A proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise;
  • Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure.
