Cavalieri Art Hotel in Malta is looking to recruit a Chef De Partie to join their team on a full-time basis.
Job Role:
The Chef De Partie is responsible for Sub-Coordinating the Kitchen Staff with cooking and other duties. Is in charge and has full responsibility for the running of a particular section of a large kitchen.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Human Resources:
To facilitate a working atmosphere based on respect, collaboration, and continuous learning
Involvement in the training of cooks and assistants
Financial Management:
Knowledge of the ordering procedure and receiving of goods, as well as management of food costs and inventories
Production and Service:
Preparation, assembly, and decoration of the buffets, both hot and cold, show cooking, second courses
Preparation of Cooking dishes
Management of leftovers
Organization and cleaning of his/her work area, the utensils used, cold room, and chambers
Staff dining room: control and monitoring
Customer Satisfaction:
Positive, helpful attitude towards customers and as regards "small details"
Attending to customers' wishes and suggestions. Impeccable uniform and clean, well-groomed physical appearance. The implication in the work plans set in motion.
Health and Safety:
Awareness and fulfillment of the Safety Health and Hygiene regulations and the Departmental Regulations Manual.
Valid Food Handler Licence.
