As a butcher at Jesmond Micallef Meat Market, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meats according to customer specifications. Responsibilities:

• Cut, carve, trim, and prepare meats according to customer requests and company standards.

• Ensure the quality and freshness of meats, adhering to food safety regulations.

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and answering their questions.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace.

• Restock meat cases and displays as needed.

• Manage inventory, including ordering and receiving products.

• Maintain accurate records and assist with pricing and labelling.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a butcher, preferably in a retail or grocery setting.

• Good knowledge of different cuts of meat and their appropriate uses.

• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
