Rosselli AX Privilege in Malta is looking to recruit Breakfast Chefs to join their team on a full/part-time basis.
Job summary:
This is a unique opportunity to work in a professional environment; in one of the best fine dining venues in Malta, Under Grain, a one Michelin star restaurant that is part of the AX Group Privilege brand. A rare chance to join a talented team in which you will be challenged to learn and develop your skills through persistence to achieve perfection. You will be involved not only in the day-to-day operation but in the preparation and delivery of exclusive high-end events with no equivalent on the island.
Responsibilities:
Preparing and cooking breakfast
Take control of the breakfast service and ensure guests receive a truly delicious and memorable breakfast
Ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the Sous Chef or the Head Chef
Ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity and served to the specifications set on the menu
Sett up and clean down the kitchen after breakfast.
Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times.
Ensure all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
Ensure all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
Ensure all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity.
Maintain On Going “Clean as you Go” Practices.
Take environmentally friendly initiatives
Be efficient, caring, and friendly in all communications when dealing with guests and colleagues
Requirements:
Familiar with HACCP Standards and Health & Safety Regulations as stipulated by law
A good standard of education, preferably an ITS graduate
Possess high standards of cooking techniques and be innovative in their working approach
Able to work on their own initiative
Willing to work flexible hours
Has a minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar position
